Possible Causes
Defective internal SMPS power supply on PCB, Loose mains cord connection, Damaged power inlet socket, Failing electrolytic capacitors on control board
How to Fix / Troubleshooting
Safety: Disconnect from mains before opening any covers. Capacitors can retain charge; discharge safely if working on the PCB.
- Check outlet and cord: Test the wall outlet with another appliance. Inspect the Sencor power cord for cuts or kinks and ensure it is fully inserted into the cooker (if detachable).
- Inspect power inlet: Remove the base or rear cover to access the power inlet socket. Tighten any loose spade connectors and look for heat damage.
- Examine PCB supply section: On the control board, locate the low‑voltage power supply area (transformer or SMPS). Look for bulging or leaking capacitors and burnt resistors.
- Replace PCB or components: If capacitors are visibly damaged, they can be replaced with identical high‑temperature, same‑value parts. In most home repairs, replacing the entire control PCB / power module is safer and more reliable.
