Possible Causes
Open bottom NTC sensor on heating plate, Disconnected sensor plug on main board, Broken sensor wires under inner pot, Failed bottom NTC thermistor
How to Fix / Troubleshooting
Safety: Unplug the cooker and wait until the inner pot and heating plate are completely cool.
- Remove inner pot: Take out the removable inner pot and inspect the exposed aluminum heating plate. Look for a small sensor head or metal disc in the center or near the edge.
- Check sensor mounting: Ensure the bottom sensor is firmly attached to the heating plate and not dislodged. A loose sensor can cause an open reading.
- Access underside: Turn the cooker upside down on a soft cloth. Remove the base screws and carefully lift off the bottom cover to expose the wiring.
- Inspect sensor harness: Locate the 2‑wire harness from the bottom sensor to the main PCB. Check for breaks, burns, or disconnected plugs. Reseat the connector on the PCB.
- Measure resistance: With the unit unplugged, disconnect the sensor and measure its resistance. If it reads infinite (OL), replace the bottom temperature sensor.
- Reassemble and test: Refit the base, ensure no wires are pinched, reinstall the inner pot, and test a short program.
