Possible Causes
Lid not fully rotated into lock position, Dirty or obstructed lid position sensor, Misaligned lid hinge, Faulty lid position microswitch
How to Fix / Troubleshooting
Safety: Ensure the cooker is unplugged when inspecting the lid mechanism.
- Verify correct closing: Follow the user manual to close and lock the lid. Rotate until you hear a clear click and the lid mark aligns with the body mark.
- Clean lid area: Remove food debris or dried sauce from the lid rim, hinge, and locking slots. Sticky residue can prevent full engagement.
- Inspect lid sensor: Locate the lid position sensor or magnet/switch pair (often near the hinge). Clean the area and ensure the magnet is not loose.
- Test switch: If accessible, test the lid switch with a multimeter while opening and closing the lid. Replace the lid position switch if it does not operate reliably.
