Possible Causes

Damaged silicone lid gasket, Dirty or stuck float valve, Steam release valve not set to sealing position, Warped inner pot rim or lid

How to Fix / Troubleshooting

Safety: Keep hands away from escaping steam. Turn off and unplug before handling the lid.

  • Check valve position: Ensure the steam release valve is set to the sealing/pressure position according to the Sencor manual.
  • Inspect gasket: Remove the silicone lid gasket and examine it for cracks, hardening, or deformation. Clean it with warm soapy water and reinstall, ensuring it is seated evenly.
  • Clean float valve: Remove the float valve pin and silicone cap. Clean all parts and the valve seat. Reassemble so the float moves freely.
  • Check pot and lid surfaces: Inspect the rim of the inner pot and the metal sealing surface on the lid for dents or warping. Replace the inner pot or lid assembly if sealing surfaces are damaged.
  • Replace gasket set: If pressure still does not build, install a new lid gasket and float valve kit designed for your Sencor model.
