Possible Causes
Open main heating element, Failed power relay/triac on PCB, Broken wire between PCB and heater, Tripped thermal fuse on heating plate
How to Fix / Troubleshooting
Safety: Disconnect from mains and allow the cooker to cool before opening the base.
- Confirm symptom: Start a cooking program and check if the heating plate warms up after a few minutes. If it stays cold, proceed.
- Access heater terminals: Remove the bottom cover to expose the heating element connections. Look for burnt connectors or loose spades.
- Test heater: Disconnect the heater leads and measure resistance. An infinite reading indicates a failed main heating element that must be replaced.
- Check thermal fuse: Locate the thermal fuse attached to the heater. Test continuity; if open, replace with the exact temperature and current rating.
- Inspect relay/triac: If the heater and fuse are good, the control PCB’s switching device is likely faulty. Replace the control PCB or have the relay/triac replaced by a professional.
