How to Fix / Troubleshooting

Safety: If you smell strong burning plastic, turn off and unplug immediately.

  • For new units: Run a water‑only cycle (with a bit of vinegar) once or twice to burn off manufacturing residues.
  • Clean thoroughly: Remove the inner pot and clean the heating plate and inner housing of any spilled food or oil.
  • Inspect inside: Remove the base and check for discolored or melted plastic near the heater or PCB. Replace any burnt wiring harness or connector.
