Possible Causes
Loose power relay on PCB, Vibrating transformer or inductor, Loose mounting of heating element, AC mains frequency hum amplified by chassis
How to Fix / Troubleshooting
Safety: Disconnect from mains before opening the housing.
- Confirm normal vs abnormal: A soft click at start and end of heating is normal. Continuous loud buzzing is not.
- Inspect PCB components: Remove the cover and locate the power relay and any transformer/inductor. Ensure they are firmly soldered and not loose.
- Secure components: Use high‑temperature silicone or foam pads to dampen vibration of large components if they are mechanically loose (do not cover ventilation areas).
- Check heater mounting: Tighten the screws holding the heating element to the base to reduce resonance.
- Replace PCB: If the relay is chattering due to internal failure, replace the control PCB.
