E14
Severin Pressure build-up timeout

E14 error, cooker will not enter pressure mode and times out

Advertisements

Possible Causes

Insufficient liquid in inner pot, Steam release valve left in venting position, Leaking sealing ring, Pressure sensor miscalibration

How to Fix / Troubleshooting

Safety first: Ensure the cooker is cool enough to handle and unplug before inspection.

  • Check liquid level: Confirm that you have at least the minimum amount of liquid recommended by Severin for pressure cooking.
  • Verify valve position: Ensure the steam release knob is set to the sealing/pressure position, not venting.
  • Inspect sealing ring and float valve: Clean and reseat the silicone ring and float valve as per the user manual.
  • Test with water only: Run a short pressure cycle with only water to see if the cooker can build pressure. If E14 persists, the pressure sensor or control board may require service.

Warning: Do not cover or block the steam outlet to force pressure; this is dangerous.
