Possible Causes
Blocked ventilation slots on sides or bottom, Cooker placed too close to wall or other appliances, Internal fan (if equipped) not running, Overheated control board
How to Fix / Troubleshooting
Safety first: Turn off and unplug the cooker. Allow it to cool for at least 30 minutes.
- Improve ventilation: Move the cooker to a well‑ventilated area with at least 10 cm clearance on all sides and above.
- Clean vents: Use a soft brush or vacuum to remove dust and grease from side and bottom ventilation slots.
- Check internal fan: If your Severin model has an internal cooling fan, listen for it when powered on. If it does not run, access the fan and test it with a multimeter; replace if faulty.
- Avoid enclosed spaces: Do not operate the cooker inside cabinets or tight corners.
Warning: Persistent E15 even in a cool, open area may indicate a failing temperature sensor on the PCB; seek professional service.
