Possible Causes
Misaligned magnet in lid handle, Failed hall-effect sensor on main body, Loose sensor wiring, Physical damage to lid handle
How to Fix / Troubleshooting
Safety first: Unplug the cooker and ensure it is not under pressure.
- Check lid handle: Inspect the handle for cracks or looseness. Tighten screws and ensure the embedded magnet (if visible) is not missing.
- Test sensor: Access the area in the body where the lid handle aligns. The hall sensor is usually a small 3‑pin device on a PCB. With a multimeter or diagnostic mode (if available), verify it detects the magnet when the lid is closed.
- Adjust alignment: Slightly adjust the lid or handle position so the magnet passes directly over the sensor.
- Replace faulty parts: If the magnet is missing or the sensor does not respond, replace the handle or sensor board as appropriate.
Warning: Do not glue random magnets to the lid; use the correct replacement part to maintain proper sensing.
