Possible Causes

Loose lid sensor connector in hinge area, Broken lid sensor cable from frequent opening/closing, Failed lid NTC sensor, Damaged lid harness where it passes through hinge

How to Fix / Troubleshooting

Safety first: Disconnect power. Ensure the cooker is depressurized and cool before working near the lid.

  • Inspect lid cable: Open the lid and look at the cable running through the hinge or side channel. Check for cuts, kinks, or exposed conductors. Replace the harness if damaged.
  • Check connectors: Remove the top cover (screws under trim or handle) to access the lid sensor connector. Reseat the connector firmly on the control board.
  • Measure sensor: With a multimeter, measure resistance across the lid NTC. Compare to the bottom NTC at room temperature; they should be in a similar range. Infinite or zero resistance indicates a bad sensor.
  • Secure routing: When reassembling, ensure the cable is routed so it does not get pinched by the hinge movement.

Warning: Do not pull strongly on the lid cable; this can break internal conductors and worsen the fault.
