Possible Causes
Defective lid lock microswitch, Misaligned lid locking mechanism, Broken plastic actuator on lid lock, Loose lid lock wiring connector
How to Fix / Troubleshooting
Safety first: Unplug the cooker. Ensure there is no pressure inside before working on the lid lock.
- Check lid closure: Make sure the lid is fully closed and rotated/latched according to the user manual. Partial closure can trigger E7.
- Inspect lock mechanism: Remove the top cover to access the lid lock assembly. Check for broken plastic tabs or misaligned parts that prevent the microswitch from being pressed.
- Test microswitch: With a multimeter in continuity mode, operate the lock manually and verify the switch opens and closes. Replace the lid lock assembly if the switch is intermittent or stuck.
- Secure wiring: Ensure the lid lock connector is firmly attached to the PCB and that wires are not pinched by the lid hinge.
Warning: Never bypass the lid lock switch; this is a critical safety feature to prevent opening under pressure.
