Possible Causes
Blocked ventilation slots on base or sides, Failed internal cooling fan (if equipped), Dust buildup on internal components, Control board temperature sensor fault
How to Fix / Troubleshooting
Safety first: Unplug the cooker and let it cool. Do not cover the cooker during operation.
- Check external ventilation: Ensure the cooker is placed on a hard, flat surface with at least several centimeters of clearance around all sides. Remove any tablecloths or covers blocking vents.
- Clean vents: Use a soft brush or vacuum to remove dust from the base and side ventilation slots.
- Inspect internal fan (if present): Open the housing and locate the small cooling fan near the control board. Spin it by hand to check for stiffness. If it does not run during operation, test its voltage supply and replace if faulty.
- Board sensor: Some boards have a small thermistor near power components. Ensure it is not detached from the PCB.
- Re-test: After cleaning and ensuring proper airflow, run a short program. If E13 recurs quickly, a deeper board-level fault may exist.
