Possible Causes
Liquid spill into control panel, Stuck mechanical button, Shorted touch sensor pad, Damaged keypad ribbon cable
How to Fix / Troubleshooting
Safety first: Unplug the cooker. Do not spray liquids directly onto the control panel.
- Dry the panel: If a spill occurred, leave the cooker unplugged and the panel exposed to air for at least 24 hours. Gently wipe the surface with a dry cloth.
- Check for stuck buttons: Press each button individually to feel for normal travel. If any button feels stuck, clean around its edges with a slightly damp cotton swab, then dry.
- Open the fascia: Remove the front panel to inspect the keypad PCB and ribbon cable. Look for corrosion or sticky residue; clean with isopropyl alcohol and allow to dry.
- Reconnect cables: Reseat the keypad ribbon cable on both ends.
- Replace keypad: If certain keys remain permanently activated (verified with a multimeter or by behavior), replace the keypad/touch panel assembly.
