Possible Causes
Defective pressure switch contact, Misaligned float valve not reaching sensor, Broken float valve magnet (on magnetic sensor models), Faulty wiring between float sensor and PCB
How to Fix / Troubleshooting
Safety first: Ensure the cooker is cool and depressurized. Unplug before internal inspection.
- Check float valve: Inspect the float valve on the lid. It should move freely up and down. Clean any food residue around it and ensure its silicone cap is intact.
- Test interlock behavior: Start a pressure program with water. Observe whether the float rises as pressure builds. If it does not, the valve or gasket may be leaking.
- Inspect sensor: Some models use a microswitch or magnetic reed sensor to detect float position. Access the lid interior or hinge area and check the sensor alignment and wiring.
- Replace faulty parts: If the float valve is damaged or the sensor does not change state when the float is manually raised, replace the float valve assembly or float position sensor.
