During heating or pressure cooking, the display shows E3 and the cooker stops heating.

Safety first: Disconnect power and allow the cooker to cool completely before opening the lid. Beware of residual steam pressure.

• Check food and liquid level: Open the lid once pressure is released. Ensure there is enough liquid according to the recipe and user manual. Scrape off any burnt food stuck to the bottom of the inner pot.
• Clean the inner pot and plate: Remove the inner pot and clean it thoroughly. Wipe the heating plate with a soft, slightly damp cloth (unit unplugged) and dry completely. Do not scratch the plate.
• Inspect the NTC sensor: In many SilverCrest multicookers, a small NTC probe is mounted in the center of the heating plate or attached underneath. Remove the bottom cover and check that the sensor is firmly attached and its wires are intact and connected to the control board.
• Check the thermal fuse: Locate the thermal fuse (usually wrapped in heat-resistant sleeve near the heater). If it looks burnt or swollen, or if continuity is lost, it must be replaced.
• Test again with proper load: Reassemble, add sufficient water (e.g., 1–2 cups), and run a simple boil program. If E3 reappears quickly, the sensor or control board may be faulty and should be replaced by a technician.
