Possible Causes

Steam release valve stuck closed, Safety valve not lifting, Blocked steam channel in lid, Faulty pressure sensor calibration on PCB

How to Fix / Troubleshooting

Safety first: Allow the cooker to cool and fully depressurize. Never attempt to remove a blocked valve while the unit is under pressure.

  • Clean steam pathways: Remove the steam release valve, anti-block shield, and any removable lid inserts. Soak them in warm soapy water and scrub all channels and holes. Rinse and dry thoroughly.
  • Check valve movement: Ensure the steam release knob can rotate freely between sealing and venting positions. The internal pin should move up and down without sticking.
  • Inspect safety valve: From inside the lid, press the safety valve gently. It should move and spring back. If it is stuck with dried food, clean around it carefully.
  • Check lid gasket: A hardened or swollen silicone gasket can alter pressure behavior. Remove the gasket, clean the groove, and reinstall or replace if deformed.
  • Sensor/board issues: If all mechanical parts are clean and free, but E8 persists, the pressure sensor or control board calibration may be faulty. Replacement of the pressure sensor module or PCB is recommended via a technician.
