Possible Causes
Cracked inner pot, Damaged or misrouted condensation collector, Loose inner pot support ring, Gasket between inner pot and chassis leaking
How to Fix / Troubleshooting
Safety first: Unplug the cooker and dry any spilled liquid. Do not operate with water inside the base.
- Inspect inner pot: Remove and fill the pot with water outside the cooker. Check for leaks or cracks. Replace if any are found.
- Condensation collector: Many SilverCrest models have a removable condensation cup or channel on the side or back. Ensure it is properly installed and not cracked.
- Check inner chassis seal: Look inside the cooker around the heating plate for signs of water trails. If water is entering the base, the internal seal or weld may be compromised and require professional service.
- Dry thoroughly: Before reuse, open the base and dry all internal components completely.
