Possible Causes

NTC temperature sensor harness disconnected from main board, Broken NTC sensor lead under inner pot, Corroded or oxidized sensor connector on control board, Failed NTC sensor element

How to Fix / Troubleshooting

Safety first: Unplug the multicooker and allow it to cool completely before opening any panels. Never work on the unit while it is connected to power.

Steps to check and correct:

  • Remove the inner pot and inspect the center of the heating plate area for a small metal or button-style sensor. Make sure it is clean and not bent or damaged.
  • Turn the cooker upside down on a soft cloth. Remove the bottom cover screws to access the internal wiring and control board.
  • Locate the two-wire harness from the bottom temperature sensor (usually white or gray wires leading from the center of the heater plate to the PCB). Ensure the connector is fully seated on the main control board.
  • Check for broken or pinched wires along the harness path. If insulation is cut or wires are broken, the sensor harness must be replaced.
  • If you have a multimeter and are qualified to use it, measure the resistance of the NTC sensor at room temperature (typically 50–150 kΩ depending on model). An open (infinite) reading indicates a failed sensor.
  • Clean any lightly oxidized connectors with electronic contact cleaner and reconnect firmly.
  • Reassemble the bottom cover, plug in the unit, and test a short program with the inner pot installed and at least 2 cups of water.

When to stop: If the E1 error persists after confirming connections and the sensor tests open or shorted, the NTC sensor or heater plate assembly should be replaced. If you are not comfortable with electrical testing, contact a qualified appliance technician.
