Possible Causes
How to Fix / Troubleshooting
Safety first: Ensure the cooker is unplugged and fully depressurized before working on the lid. Never open a pressurized cooker.
Inspection steps:
- Remove the lid (if detachable) and inspect the underside for a small sensor near the steam release or inner lid plate. Check for food residue or moisture buildup around the sensor.
- Clean the underside of the lid and inner lid plate with warm soapy water, avoiding soaking the sensor directly. Dry thoroughly.
- Check the hinge area where the lid wiring passes into the body. Look for pinched or broken wires.
- If accessible, open the top cover or hinge cover to locate the lid sensor connector on the control board and ensure it is firmly seated.
- If you can measure resistance safely, test the lid NTC sensor at room temperature. An open or shorted reading indicates the sensor must be replaced.
Note: If the lid assembly is sealed and not designed to be opened, replacement of the entire lid assembly is recommended rather than attempting to disassemble it.
