Possible Causes
Main PCB firmware corruption, Failed microcontroller on control board, Damaged display/control panel ribbon cable, Power supply section failure on PCB
How to Fix / Troubleshooting
Safety first: Unplug the unit before opening any covers.
Steps:
- Inspect the control panel area for signs of liquid ingress (spills on the top of the cooker). If moisture is present, allow the unit to dry for 24–48 hours in a warm, dry place before re-testing.
- Remove the outer shell or top cover as per service instructions to access the main control board and display board.
- Check the ribbon cable or harness between the display/touch panel and the main PCB. Reseat both ends firmly.
- Inspect the PCB for burned components, bulging capacitors, or cracked solder joints, especially around the power supply section.
- If no obvious damage is visible and reseating cables does not clear E9, the main control board assembly will typically need replacement.
Note: Board-level repair (component replacement) should only be attempted by experienced electronics technicians.
