Possible Causes
NTC sensor drifted low in resistance, Sensor not firmly attached to heater plate, Faulty thermostat or thermal cutoff not sensing correctly, Control board misreading sensor
How to Fix / Troubleshooting
Safety first: Unplug and allow the unit to cool before inspection.
Steps:
- Inspect the bottom sensor mounting on the heater plate. Ensure it is firmly pressed against the metal surface and not bent away.
- Check for any insulating debris (foil, paper, thick grease) between the sensor and heater plate and remove it.
- Verify that you are using appropriate liquid quantities and not using high-heat programs for delicate foods.
- If overheating persists across multiple programs, the NTC sensor or thermostat may be out of calibration and should be replaced.
- If replacing the sensor does not correct the issue, the main control board’s temperature regulation circuit may be defective and require replacement.
