Strong persistent odor from the silicone sealing ring and lid, transferring to food.

Steps:

• Remove the silicone sealing ring and wash it thoroughly with warm soapy water. Rinse and dry completely.
• Soak the ring in a solution of 1 part vinegar to 3 parts water for 1–2 hours to help remove odors, then rinse and dry.
• Clean the underside of the lid and inner lid plate to remove any trapped grease.
• Store the cooker with the lid upside down or slightly ajar to allow air circulation.
• If odors persist, consider using separate sealing rings for savory and sweet dishes or replace the ring.
