How to Fix / Troubleshooting
Safety first: Unplug the cooker before removing the control panel.
Steps to restore button function:
- 1. Clean panel surface: Wipe the keypad area with a slightly damp cloth and mild detergent. Do not allow liquid to seep into the panel.
- 2. Dry thoroughly: If moisture is suspected, leave the cooker in a warm, dry place for 24 hours and retest.
- 3. Access control panel: Remove the front bezel or top cover to expose the control panel PCB and keypad membrane.
- 4. Inspect ribbon and PCB: Check the ribbon cable between the keypad and PCB for damage. Reseat connectors.
- 5. Replace keypad or panel: If individual keys remain unresponsive, replace the keypad membrane or the entire control panel PCB, depending on how Steba supplies spares.
Do not use sharp objects to press buttons; this accelerates wear.
