Possible Causes
Condensation collector cup missing or full, Steam condensing on lid and running off, Damaged or misaligned condensation channel, Overfilled pot causing splatter
How to Fix / Troubleshooting
Safety first: Avoid contact with hot condensate; it can be very hot.
Steps to manage condensation:
- 1. Check condensation collector: Locate the condensation cup on the side or back of the cooker. Ensure it is installed correctly and not full. Empty and clean regularly.
- 2. Clean condensation channel: Wipe the channel or groove that directs water into the collector. Remove any food residue.
- 3. Avoid overfilling: Do not exceed the maximum fill line in the inner pot, especially for soups and stews.
- 4. Lid opening technique: After cooking, open the lid slowly and tilt it so that condensation drips back into the pot, not onto the counter.
If the collector or channel is cracked, replace the condensation collector assembly.
