Possible Causes
How to Fix / Troubleshooting
Safety first: Unplug the cooker and ensure there is no pressure inside before working on the lid. Open the lid only when the float valve is fully dropped.
External checks:
- Clean the lid: Remove the inner lid plate (if removable) and clean all surfaces. Food residue can trap heat and cause abnormal readings.
- Inspect the steam release and float valve: Make sure they move freely and are not clogged with starch or fat.
Lid sensor inspection (advanced):
- Remove the decorative lid cover (screws are usually on the inner side of the lid).
- Locate the lid sensor harness or flex cable that runs from the lid to the hinge area.
- Check for pinched, cracked, or broken conductors, especially where the cable bends at the hinge.
- Disconnect and reconnect the lid connector to the main board to clean the contacts.
- If accessible, test the lid NTC sensor with a multimeter for reasonable resistance at room temperature. Replace if open or shorted.
If the lid PCB or pressure sensor is integrated and not user-serviceable, replacement of the entire lid assembly is often required.
