Possible Causes

Defective lid lock solenoid, Jammed lid lock mechanism, Broken lid lock sensor, Misaligned lid lock lever

How to Fix / Troubleshooting

Safety first: Unplug the cooker. Do not force the lid closed or open with tools.

Mechanical checks:

  • Inspect the lid lock area for food residue or hardened sauce. Clean thoroughly with a damp cloth and mild detergent.
  • Open and close the lid several times to see if the lock pin moves freely.

Internal lock mechanism (advanced):

  • Remove the top cover or inner lid trim to access the lid lock solenoid and lever.
  • Check that the solenoid plunger moves freely and is not corroded.
  • Inspect the small lock position switch or sensor for broken actuators or loose wiring.
  • Test the solenoid coil for continuity with a multimeter. Replace if open.

If the lock assembly is cracked or heavily worn, replace the entire lid lock module to ensure safe operation.
