Possible Causes
Not enough water in the inner pot, Inner pot not installed, Sensor detecting dry heating, Excessive evaporation due to loose lid
How to Fix / Troubleshooting
Safety first: Unplug the cooker and let it cool if the pot is very hot or dry.
Correcting the condition:
- Ensure the inner pot is installed and seated properly.
- Add the minimum required amount of liquid specified in the T-fal manual (often at least 1–2 cups for pressure programs).
- Check that the lid is closed and sealed correctly so steam does not escape excessively.
Restart the program. If the H2O warning appears even with adequate liquid, inspect the bottom sensor and heating plate for burnt-on residue that may cause false dry detection.
