Possible Causes
Lid not fully closed, Misaligned lid hinge, Faulty lid closed sensor, Broken lid latch hook
How to Fix / Troubleshooting
Safety first: Ensure the cooker is unplugged before manipulating the lid mechanism.
Simple checks:
- Open and close the lid firmly until you hear a clear click from the latch.
- Verify that the silicone gasket is seated evenly and not preventing full closure.
- Check that the inner lid plate is installed correctly and not upside down.
Sensor and latch inspection (advanced):
- Inspect the latch hook on the lid and the catch on the body for cracks or wear.
- Access the lid sensor (microswitch or magnetic reed) near the latch area and verify that it actuates when the lid is closed.
- Adjust the latch position slightly if screws allow, so the hook fully engages the catch.
If the plastic latch is broken or the sensor fails continuity tests, replace the corresponding part.
