Lid will not open after cooking; float valve appears stuck in the up position even when cooled.

Safety first: Never force the lid open. If steam is still escaping, allow more time to cool.

Releasing residual pressure:

• Ensure the steam release valve is in the 'Venting' position.
• Gently tap the lid near the float valve with a wooden spoon to dislodge dried food.
• Once the float drops, open the lid carefully away from your face.

After opening:

• Disassemble and clean the float valve thoroughly.
• Replace the silicone cap if swollen or hardened.
