Possible Causes
Damaged or hardened silicone lid gasket, Steam release valve stuck open, Debris on lid sealing surface, Misaligned lid
How to Fix / Troubleshooting
Safety first: Keep hands and face away from escaping steam. Unplug and allow to cool before handling parts.
Seal inspection:
- Remove the silicone lid gasket and inspect for cracks, flattening, or hard spots. Replace if any defects are found.
- Clean the gasket groove and lid sealing surface thoroughly.
- Ensure the gasket is reinstalled evenly without twists.
Valve checks:
- Verify that the steam release valve is in the correct sealing position.
- Clean the valve and anti-block shield to remove any food particles preventing proper sealing.
Test with water only. If pressure still does not build, the lid or valve assembly may need replacement.
