Steam or water leaks from around the lid edges during pressure cooking.

Safety first: Do not touch escaping steam. Turn off and unplug the cooker, then allow pressure to drop naturally.

After cooling:

• Remove and clean the gasket, lid rim, and pot rim.
• Inspect the gasket for damage and replace if not perfectly round and elastic.
• Clean the steam release valve and anti-block shield to ensure proper venting.

If the lid appears warped or the leak persists with a new gasket, the lid assembly may need replacement.
