Steam release valve does not rotate or move freely; stuck in one position.

Safety first: Ensure the cooker is unplugged and fully depressurized before touching the valve.

Cleaning procedure:

• Remove the steam release valve from the lid (usually by pulling straight up or twisting, depending on model).
• Soak the valve in warm soapy water and scrub all passages with a small brush.
• Clean the valve seat on the lid and the anti-block shield.
• Rinse and dry completely before reinstalling.

If the valve remains stiff or deformed, replace it with a genuine T-fal steam release valve.
