Possible Causes
Residual pressure not fully released, Sticky or dirty lid locking pin, Deformed sealing ring creating vacuum, Faulty float valve not dropping fully
How to Fix / Troubleshooting
Safety first: Never force the lid open. Ensure all pressure is released.
- Check float valve: Confirm the float valve has dropped fully. If not, gently tap the lid to help it drop.
- Secondary release: Carefully move the steam release valve to ensure no residual steam remains.
- Clean locking mechanism: After opening, clean the lid lock, float valve, and surrounding areas to remove sticky residue.
- Replace sealing ring: If the ring is deformed and causing vacuum sticking, install a new ring.
