Possible Causes
Worn membrane keypad, Moisture ingress behind control panel, Loose ribbon cable to control PCB, Faulty touch sensor IC on panel board
How to Fix / Troubleshooting
Safety first: Unplug before touching the control panel internals.
- Drying: If the panel fogged up or was exposed to steam, leave the cooker unplugged in a dry place for 24 hours.
- Clean surface: Wipe the control panel with a dry, soft cloth. Do not spray cleaner directly onto the panel.
- Power reset: Plug back in and test each button. If some buttons work and others do not, the keypad membrane is likely failing.
- Internal check (advanced): Remove the front cover to access the ribbon cable between the panel and main board. Reseat the cable.
- Repair: Replace the control panel PCB or keypad membrane as a complete assembly if available from Tefal.
