Possible Causes
Worn or damaged silicone sealing ring, Food debris on lid or bowl rim, Misaligned lid, Deformed lid or inner lid plate
How to Fix / Troubleshooting
Safety first: Keep hands and face away from escaping steam. Do not attempt to tighten the lid while under pressure.
- Stop and depressurize: Cancel the program and allow pressure to release naturally or via the valve.
- Clean sealing surfaces: Remove the sealing ring and clean it, the lid groove, and the bowl rim thoroughly.
- Inspect and replace ring: Look for cracks, flattening, or stretching. Replace with a genuine Tefal sealing ring if any damage is found.
- Check lid alignment: Ensure the lid closes evenly and locks fully. If the lid or hinge is bent, the lid assembly may need replacement.
