Possible Causes
Drifted or out-of-range NTC sensor in bowl base, Poor thermal contact between sensor and heater block, Corroded sensor connector, Firmware calibration mismatch or main PCB fault
How to Fix / Troubleshooting
Safety first: Disconnect from mains and let the unit cool before handling.
- Clean contact surfaces: Thoroughly clean and dry the underside of the bowl and the base contact area. Any residue can affect temperature readings.
- Test with cold start: After cooling, start a low-temperature program with room-temperature water in the bowl. If C3 appears quickly, the sensor is likely faulty.
- Try another bowl: If available, test with a different compatible Thermomix bowl. If the error disappears, the original bowl’s sensor assembly is defective.
- Service action: Persistent C3 with multiple bowls suggests a main PCB or calibration issue. This requires specialized diagnostic tools and should be handled by an authorized service technician.
