Possible Causes
Shorted heater triac on main PCB, Open or damaged heater control relay, Solder joint failure on heater drive circuit, Internal PCB track damage due to overheating
How to Fix / Troubleshooting
Safety first: Unplug the appliance immediately. Do not continue to operate with a suspected heater control fault.
- Visual inspection: Remove the bottom cover (if you are qualified) and inspect the main PCB for burn marks, cracked solder joints, or a burnt smell near the heater control components.
- Do not bypass controls: Never attempt to bypass the heater control or short any components; this is a serious fire and shock hazard.
- Functional test (limited): After a full cool-down and reassembly, you may briefly power on and attempt a low-temperature program. If C5 reappears, disconnect and seek service.
- Professional repair: Heater control components are directly connected to mains voltage. Replacement of the main PCB or triac/relay should only be done by an authorized Thermomix technician.
