Possible Causes
Worn or damaged silicone lid gasket, Lid not properly seated or locked, Overfilled bowl exceeding maximum volume, Very vigorous boiling or thick foaming mixtures
How to Fix / Troubleshooting
Safety first: Use oven mitts when handling a hot bowl or lid. Steam can cause burns.
- Check fill level: Ensure the bowl contents do not exceed the maximum fill line, especially for soups and foaming liquids.
- Inspect lid gasket: Remove the silicone gasket from the lid and check for cracks, deformation, or food buildup. Clean thoroughly and reinstall, ensuring it is fully seated in its groove.
- Proper lid locking: Make sure the lid is correctly positioned and fully locked before starting a program.
- Replace gasket: If leakage persists, replace the lid gasket with a genuine Thermomix part.
- Dry the base: Wipe any spilled liquid from the base immediately to prevent it from entering the electronics.
