Possible Causes

Inner pot not seated correctly, Non-original or warped inner pot, Deformed pot bottom preventing sensor contact, Pot detection sensor failure on heater plate

How to Fix / Troubleshooting

Safety first: Unplug the cooker and let it cool before touching the inner pot or heater plate.

  • Remove and reseat the inner pot: Take out the Tiger inner pot, wipe the bottom with a dry cloth, and remove any moisture, rice, or burnt residue. Clean the heater plate surface and the central sensor with a soft, dry cloth.
  • Check for correct pot type: Ensure you are using the original Tiger inner pot designed for your model. Third-party or mismatched pots may not trigger the pot sensor correctly.
  • Inspect pot bottom: Place the pot on a flat surface and check for rocking or gaps. A warped or dented bottom can prevent proper contact with the heater plate and sensor.
  • Reinstall and test: Place the pot back in, rotate it slightly to ensure it sits flat, then close the lid and try a basic cooking program. Avoid pressing down on the lid to force contact.
  • If error persists: The pot detection sensor or heater plate assembly may be faulty and require replacement. Do not bypass the sensor or operate the unit without proper pot detection.
