Possible Causes
Open or tripped thermal fuse on heater plate, Poor contact between inner pot and heater, Blocked ventilation causing overheating, Failing main heater element
How to Fix / Troubleshooting
Safety first: Unplug the cooker immediately. Allow it to cool for at least 30–60 minutes before handling.
- Check for external blockage: Ensure the bottom and sides of the cooker are not blocked by cloths, plastic, or other items that could trap heat.
- Inspect inner pot contact: Remove the pot, clean the heater plate, and ensure the pot bottom is clean and flat. A warped pot can cause localized overheating.
- Reset attempt: After the unit has fully cooled, plug it back in and try a short, low-heat program with water in the pot. If E06 appears immediately, the thermal fuse or heater circuit may be open.
- Internal inspection (advanced): With the unit unplugged, remove the bottom cover to visually inspect the heater plate wiring and thermal fuse (usually a small cylindrical component in series with the heater). Look for burn marks or a blown fuse.
- Do not bypass safety devices: Never short or bypass a thermal fuse. If it is open, replace it with the exact rating specified for the Tiger model.
