Display shows U01 and cooker will not start; often accompanied by a beeping sound.

Safety first: Ensure the cooker is on a stable, level surface before closing the lid.

• Remove obstructions: Check the rim of the inner pot and the lid gasket for rice grains or food debris. Clean with a damp cloth and dry.
• Close lid firmly: Lower the lid and press down until you hear or feel the lock engage. Do not slam the lid.
• Check gasket seating: Make sure the silicone or rubber lid gasket is fully seated in its groove and not twisted.
• Test lock sensor: Gently lift the lid while starting a program; if U01 appears immediately, the lock sensor is working. If U01 appears even when firmly closed, the lock mechanism may be misaligned.
• Adjustment: Tighten any accessible screws on the lid latch plate. If the hook is visibly bent, it may need replacement.
