Possible Causes
Worn membrane switches, Cracked touch panel, Loose ribbon cable to main PCB, Liquid damage under control panel
How to Fix / Troubleshooting
Safety: Unplug before removing the control panel.
- 1. Clean surface: Wipe the control panel with a slightly damp cloth to remove grease; do not soak.
- 2. Reseat ribbon cable: Remove the bezel and carefully disconnect/reconnect the ribbon cable between the keypad board and main PCB.
- 3. Inspect for cracks or corrosion: If the keypad board is cracked or shows corrosion from spills, replace the entire control panel assembly.
- 4. Test all keys: After reassembly, test each button. If specific keys still fail, the keypad matrix is damaged and requires replacement.
Avoid pressing buttons with sharp objects; this damages the membrane.
