Possible Causes
Inner pot and heater still too hot from previous cycle, Faulty bottom temperature sensor reading too high, Poor ventilation around cooker causing heat buildup
How to Fix / Troubleshooting
Safety: Do not force the cooker to start if it indicates excessive heat; allow it to cool.
- 1. Allow cooling time: Remove the inner pot and let both the pot and cooker sit for 20–30 minutes. Ensure the lid is open to release heat.
- 2. Improve ventilation: Move the cooker away from walls or cabinets. Ensure side and top vents are not blocked.
- 3. Sensor check: If H1 appears even when the cooker is cold to the touch, inspect the bottom NTC sensor and wiring as in the E1 procedure. A shorted sensor can falsely report high temperature.
- 4. Reset and test: After cooling and any repairs, plug in and start a low-temperature program (e.g., keep warm) to verify normal operation.
Do not cool the cooker rapidly with water or ice; this can warp components and damage sensors.
