Inner lid plate or gasket shows signs of rust, discoloration, or deterioration.

Safety: Unplug and cool before servicing.

• 1. Inspect extent of corrosion: Light surface discoloration can sometimes be cleaned; deep pitting or flaking requires replacement.
• 2. Clean gently: Use a non-abrasive sponge and mild detergent to clean the inner lid plate. Avoid steel wool.
• 3. Replace parts: If rust persists or metal is flaking, replace the inner lid plate and gasket with Toshiba originals.
• 4. Dry after use: After each use, remove and dry the inner lid and gasket to prevent future corrosion.

Do not continue using heavily corroded parts in contact with food or steam.
