Possible Causes
Blown internal fuse on main PCB, Faulty power cord or plug, Failed SMPS power supply section on main PCB, Loose mains connector inside unit
How to Fix / Troubleshooting
Safety: Unplug the cooker before any disassembly. Mains voltage is dangerous.
- 1. Verify outlet: Test the wall outlet with another device. Confirm the outlet is live.
- 2. Inspect power cord: Flex the cord gently while checking for cuts or kinks. Replace the Toshiba cord set if any damage is found.
- 3. Check internal fuse: Remove the bottom cover and locate the glass or ceramic fuse on the main PCB. Test with a multimeter; if open, replace with the same type and rating. If it blows again immediately, there is a deeper fault.
- 4. Visual PCB inspection: Look for burnt components, cracked solder joints, or bulging capacitors in the power supply area.
- 5. If PSU is faulty: Replace the main control PCB. Component-level repair of the SMPS is not recommended for non-professionals.
Do not bypass the fuse or use a higher-rated fuse; this can cause fire.
