Toshiba
Pressure Leak / Inability to Seal
Multicooker heats but does not build pressure; steam constantly escapes from the lid area.

Possible Causes
Worn or damaged lid silicone gasket, Debris on lid sealing surface, Misaligned or damaged steam release valve, Cracked lid or inner lid plate
How to Fix / Troubleshooting
Safety: Allow the cooker to cool and depressurize fully before inspecting the lid.
- 1. Clean sealing surfaces: Remove the lid gasket and inner lid plate. Clean all contact surfaces with warm soapy water and dry thoroughly.
- 2. Inspect gasket: Look for flat spots, cracks, or hardening. Replace the gasket with a genuine Toshiba part if any defects are found.
- 3. Check steam release valve: Ensure it moves freely between sealing and venting positions and that its silicone parts are intact.
- 4. Visual leak test: Run a water-only pressure cycle and observe where steam escapes. If it leaks around the lid edge despite a new gasket, the lid or pot rim may be warped and require replacement.
Do not apply grease or oil to the gasket; this can degrade silicone and affect sealing.
