Possible Causes
Shorted heater element to chassis, Damaged mains cord insulation, Moisture inside base contacting live parts, Shorted components on main PCB
How to Fix / Troubleshooting
Safety: Do not repeatedly reset the breaker; risk of fire or shock. Unplug immediately.
- 1. Visual inspection: Remove the bottom cover and look for obvious signs of arcing, burnt wires, or water ingress.
- 2. Check heater insulation: With a multimeter (and cooker unplugged), measure resistance between each heater terminal and chassis. Any low resistance indicates a ground fault; replace the heater assembly.
- 3. Inspect power cord: Replace if outer insulation is damaged or if there are signs of crushing.
- 4. Dry moisture: If water has entered the base, dry thoroughly for at least 24 hours and inspect for corrosion before reuse.
If you are not trained to work with mains circuits, have a qualified technician perform these checks.
