Possible Causes

Shorted NTC temperature sensor on heating plate, Melted sensor insulation from overheating, Moisture or condensation inside sensor connector on PCB

How to Fix / Troubleshooting

Safety first: Disconnect the multicooker from power and let it cool fully. Do not attempt to run it while it is hot and showing E2.

  • Allow full cool-down: If the unit was used on a high-temperature program (e.g. sauté), allow at least 30–45 minutes to cool. Plug back in and test a low-temperature program. Sometimes E2 is triggered by temporary overheat.
  • Check for moisture: Inspect the area around the heating plate and underside of the cooker for signs of liquid spills. If liquid has entered the base, leave the unit open and dry in a warm, ventilated area for 24 hours before retesting.
  • Access the sensor: Remove the bottom cover. Locate the NTC sensor on or near the central heating plate. Check for melted insulation, scorch marks, or wires touching the metal plate causing a short.
  • Measure sensor resistance: With a multimeter, measure resistance at room temperature. A reading near 0 Ω indicates a shorted sensor. Replace the sensor if shorted or physically damaged.
  • Clean and dry connectors: Disconnect the sensor plug from the main PCB, inspect for corrosion or moisture, clean gently with isopropyl alcohol, let dry, then reconnect firmly.

If E2 remains after sensor replacement and drying, the main control PCB’s sensor input circuit may be damaged and should be replaced by a professional.
