Possible Causes

Corrupted firmware in main control PCB, Damaged microcontroller from power surge, Failed low-voltage power supply section on PCB

How to Fix / Troubleshooting

Safety first: Disconnect the multicooker from mains before inspection.

  • Power cycle: Unplug the unit for at least 15 minutes to allow capacitors to discharge. Plug back in and check if the error clears.
  • Check power source: Try a different wall socket and avoid extension leads or multiway adaptors. Voltage drops or surges can trigger control errors.
  • Inspect PCB for damage: If comfortable opening the unit, remove the housing to access the main PCB. Look for burn marks, bulging capacitors, or a burnt smell. Any such signs indicate the board must be replaced.

There is no user-serviceable firmware reset for most Tower multicookers. Persistent E8 almost always requires replacement of the main control PCB by a qualified technician.
